About Me
I never imagined that I would have a career as an Intuitive Counsellor and Life Strategist. In fact, I originally trained as an actress at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and completed a B.Ed at Middlesex University. I went on to teach English, French and Drama in Inner London schools – rising swiftly to head of department. Little did I realise then the significance that the two skills of performance and teaching would have on my life.
Having given up teaching to pursue my acting ambitions, I quickly landed a part in a major TV series, which led to a variety of other TV and theatre roles. Over the next few years, I had a moderately successful acting career, in so far as I worked more than I was unemployed. But there was no getting away from the fact that I was highly intuitive. So, between acting jobs, I learned to develop my ability at the College of Psychic Studies, and having already studied psychology as part of my teaching degree, I began seeing clients. But, for me, being psychic isn’t enough. When I tune in, all sorts of messages come through, not all of which are significant. So, I like to ask my clients what is the main issue they’re trying to resolve. This question is my crystal ball, the means by which I am able to focus on what is most relevant to that person, at that point in time.
By my mid-thirties, I had built up a substantial international client list as an Intuitive Counsellor. With my acting career already becalmed, in January 1992 I broke my hip in a fall. As a consequence of being immobilised for a long period, I was unable to work as an actress and had to reassess my life. The result was to go public as an Intuitive Counsellor and Life Strategist. Within a week, I was doing a live phone-in on ITV's This Morning with Richard and Judy.
Being an experienced performer, I adapted very quickly to the needs of live television and radio and being a teacher was the ideal preparation for management consultancy and conducting workshops.
I suppose there’s a lesson in the way things turned out for me because for years I’d been resisting the direction in which my life needed to go. It took a serious accident for me to let go of that mental rigidity. As soon as I accepted what, deep down, I knew I should be doing with my life, everything started to work for me and I haven’t looked back. So, what started as a gift, a skill with which to support myself through lean periods in my acting career, has ended up taking me on a wonderful, exciting and fulfilling journey.
