My Philosophy

I believe that we have the power to shape our own future because we are subject to both fate and free will. Fate can bring an opportunity or a problem into our lives but it is up to us how we handle it. We might make the most of that situation or allow the opportunity to slip away. For example, you could get the perfect job or meet your soulmate, but there is no guarantee that you will hang on to either of them. The outcome depends on the choices we make. So, I look at the way you think, your expectations and beliefs, all the things that influence the way you arrive at a decision. Understanding ourselves is so empowering because it enables us to take charge of our lives and to make the right moves.

If we face up to the problems and negative patterns of behaviour in our present then, in overcoming them, we can achieve the fulfilment we desire. What being a psychic enables me to do is to give people the big picture of their lives and to offer an insight into what lies ahead for them. My approach can best be summarised as personal empowerment through self awareness.

The Four Elements of Life

For me, there are four elements to life - the mental or rational, the spiritual, the emotional and the physical or mind, soul, heart, and body. Unfortunately, too many of us are used to staying ‘in our element’ – the main element that we feel most comfortable with, mental for the intellectual or academic, physical for the athlete, and so on. To function at our best, to be at peace with ourselves, we need to be able to flow easily through all four in an integrated, holistic way.

Mental

How we perceive and understand things; how we use our brain to help or hinder us; how we create negative and positive thinking patterns.

Spiritual

Our faith or lack of it; our ability to believe in ourselves and the life we live; our sense of well-being; our intuition.

Emotional

How we respond emotionally to people and events.

Physical

Our health and how we take care of our bodies; how we relate to the physical world around us; financial security and our home.

We all know that change is often difficult to achieve. We know intellectually what we need to do but can we do it? Well, here’s my formula for success:

Think it – Believe it – Feel it – Do it
Thought = Mind
Belief = Soul/Spirit
Feeling = Heart/Emotion
Doing = Body/Physical

Everything starts with a thought. If you think badly of yourself, you have no purpose, and no reason to change. If you don’t believe in something, you won’t sustain your actions. If you feel unhappy, you won’t stick to the changes you wish to make. If you don’t do something to put things right then you remain stuck.

It is vital that we isolate the negative thought that either tells us that we are not good enough or that any attempt to change is futile and doomed to failure. We need to change that negative thought into a positive one. But it won’t mean anything to us until we actually believe it. This is where affirmations come in. We need to affirm the new, positive thought until it becomes our belief. It is only then that we will feel it. It is when we think, believe and feel the same thing that we are able to act upon it. It is in this way that we can move from a vicious circle into a virtuous cycle.

Affirmations

Affirmations are a key tool in managing the process of change. An affirmation is a positive phrase to help you to change negative patterns into positive ones. A typical affirmation would be; I’m not afraid to change my life’’; or ‘I am a valuable person’. The idea is that you keep on repeating the phrase until you start to believe it. Start each day by saying it aloud twenty times. Do the same just before you go to sleep. In fact, every time you catch yourself thinking a negative affirmation, such as ‘I’m a failure’, replace it with a positive affirmation like, I am a success. It really does work but it does take a little time. After all, you are reprogramming your mind after years of negative thinking and living the lie – so good luck and stay with it.
